I. TARGET PARTICIPANTS:

- Participants graduated from construction diving.
- Participants have been trained at the basic level of welding, knowing safety procedures and mechanical hand-held devices.
II. COURSE’S GOALS:
2.1 Knowledge, skills and professional attitude.
Knowledge
-
- Providing basic knowledge about standards, symbols, welding conventions, welding procedures, arc cutting processes on dry and underwater conditions, grinding techniques.
- Safety regulations during the welding process. How to prevent and assess incidents, risks during the operation of cutting and welding devices at workplace & training sessions.
Skills
-
- Knowing how to prepare machines, welding materials, metal cutting and differentiating types of welding rods, grinding stones…
- Knowing how to inspect and maintain machines, devices, and welding materials.
- Assembling and Dissembling welding & cutting devices safely and properly.
- Making sure to adjust the welding & cutting techniques to match the attribution of materials and welding positions.
- Being able to weld butt, Tee, lap, edge and cross
- Being able to cut different types of steel.
- Being able to recognize the proper standard of weld joints, and cutting.
- Applying techniques.
Professional attitude:

- Having a sense of self-discipline and responsibility in learning
- Having an agile working style along with professional ethics
Career opportunities

- Being able to perform welding and cutting metal in different conditions like onshore and offshore.
- Being able to work independently or in team.
III. Duration

- 200 hours or equivalent to 25 days
- Actual learning time: 23 days
- Reviewing and testing theories & practice: 02 days
VI. Language:

- Vietnamse language will be taught during the training. For foreigner, PVD Training will arrange translator to support participants.
V. Certificate:

- Issued by PVD Training and valid nationwide.

VII. Conditions to open a new class:

- Minimum participants: 08 pax
VIII. Teaching methods:

- A combination of theories and practical session at PVD Training workshop
- At the end of the course, the participants will be assessed by a test.

- Part 2: Underwater welding & cutting training: 3G Position (Including theory and practice)
