In the lead-up to trade union congresses at all levels—toward the 8th Congress of the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling) for the 2025–2030 tenure; the 8th Congress of the Trade Union of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group for the 2026–2031 tenure; and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 tenure.

On October 24, 2025, the Grassroots Trade Union of PVD Technical Training Joint Stock Company (PVD Training) solemnly convened its 6th Trade Union Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure. The Congress marked a fundamental shift in organizational model for the new era; promptly concretized the Party’s guidelines and resolutions, State policies and laws, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s directions and guidance, as well as the resolutions of the Party Congresses of the Group and PV Drilling (4th Congress, 2025–2030 tenure) into congress resolutions at all trade union levels. The Congress also served as an important political activity for members and workers across the Group under the motto: SOLIDARITY – DEMOCRACY – DISCIPLINE – INNOVATION – DEVELOPMENT.

The Congress reviewed and assessed the implementation of the unit’s trade union resolution in the previous tenure; set directions and tasks for the new tenure; contributed comments on amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; elected the new Executive Committee; and elected the delegation to attend the higher-level trade union congress.

In the report presented at the Congress, Mr. Phan Sỹ Danh, Vice Chairman of the 5th-tenure Trade Union, stated that as of October 20, 2025, the PVD Training Grassroots Trade Union had 552 members, including 91 women. Members possess strong professional qualifications, uphold solidarity and a high sense of responsibility, continually strive to overcome difficulties, demonstrate creativity at work, and stand with the Company throughout its transition and restructuring. Notably, despite a dispersed work footprint (Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, offshore worksites, etc.), the membership has maintained cohesion and companionship with the Company during this period. Over the past tenure, amid numerous challenges faced by the industry and the Company, the 5th-tenure Trade Union effectively fulfilled its representative role, took good care of employees’ livelihoods, and achieved many commendable results.
