About the Course

Target Group

IWCF Level 2 – Well Intervention Pressure Control is intended for personnel whose roles may directly contribute to the creation, detection, or control of a well influx. It is recommended for Assistant Operators in Wireline, Coiled Tubing, or Snubbing operations, and for others who are required to hold an IWCF certificate.

Pathway note: IWCF Levels 2 → 3 → 4 are designed to be sequential. First-time candidates are expected to complete Level 2 before progressing to Level 3 or 4. Final placement is role- and experience-dependent—contact us for guidance.

Objective

Build the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of well intervention pressure control. The course covers Completion Equipment and Completion Operations (compulsory), plus one or more optional modules selected from:

  • Coiled Tubing Operations

  • Wireline Operations

  • Snubbing Operations

Course Content & Delivery

  • 4 days of delivery via interactive lectures (with videos/animations)

  • Classroom workbook and guided self-study exercises

  • IWCF written assessments on the final day

Examination & Certification

  • Candidates must select at least one optional module (CT, Wireline, or Snubbing) for assessment.
    Note: Once an assessment is completed, the selected module cannot be changed.

  • A minimum score of 70% is required in all IWCF written assessments.

  • Successful candidates receive IWCF Level 2 certification valid for five (5) years.
