Scaffolding Skills Training Course

Course Overview

This course is designed for candidates who already have practical experience and hold a Level 1 Scaffolding Certificate.
The program aims to equip candidates with the knowledge and skills required to erect, adjust, and dismantle more complex Level 2 scaffolding structures, using commonly applied tube-and-fitting scaffolding systems.

Candidates who successfully complete this course and obtain the certificate are authorized to carry out scaffolding work without direct supervision.

Target Participants

  • Candidates who require training in Level 2 (Intermediate) scaffolding skills

  • Candidates holding a Level 1 (Basic Scaffolding) Certificate

  • Maximum class size: 12 candidates per course

05 days

  • 02 days of theory

  • 03 days of practical training

Course Contents

The course includes the following training modules:

Main Theoretical Modules

  • General awareness of Safety and Health

  • Safe working at height

  • Vietnamese scaffolding standard TCVN 296-04

  • International scaffolding standards: BS 1139, EN 12811

  • Types of scaffolding

  • Identification of scaffolding materials and components

  • Fall prevention measures

  • Procedures for erection and dismantling of Level 2 scaffolding

  • Hazards during Level 2 scaffolding erection and dismantling

  • Structural firmness and stability (bracing systems, joints, nodal points, etc.)

  • Design of access, egress, and working platforms

  • Reading and understanding scaffolding drawings

  • Design of Level 1 and Level 2 scaffolding drawings

  • Quantity take-off and material listing for Level 2 scaffolding

  • Risk assessment

Practical Training Modules

  • Erection, operation, dismantling, and storage of major scaffolding types, including:

    • Independent scaffolding

    • Free-standing scaffolding

    • Mobile scaffolding

    • Tank scaffolding

    • Inclined scaffolding

    • Deck clamp scaffolding

  • Safety inspection checklist and tagging system

Number of Candidates

6 – 12 candidates per course

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years old

  • Medically fit and mentally capable of participating in training activities
