Course Overview
The Scaffolding Inspection Course equips experienced scaffolders with the technical knowledge and practical skills to conduct formal scaffolding inspections and issue scaffolding tags in compliance with Vietnamese national standards and international scaffolding standards (BS 1139, EN 12811).
Upon successful completion, participants are legally authorized to sign and issue scaffolding cards — a mandatory requirement on all industrial and offshore construction sites.

- Experienced scaffolders holding a Basic Scaffolding Certificate (Scaffolding Level 1)
- Site supervisors and HSE officers responsible for scaffolding safety

Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years old

Theory Modules (3 Days)
1. Safety and Health in Scaffolding Work
General awareness of occupational health and safety requirements specific to scaffolding environments.
2. Vietnamese Scaffolding Standards
TCXD VN 296:2004 — Vietnamese construction standard for scaffolding
TCVN 6052 — Vietnamese standard for steel scaffolding
3. International Scaffolding Standards
BS 1139 — British Standard for scaffolding components
EN 12811 — European Standard for temporary works equipment
4. Types of Scaffolding
Classification and identification of scaffolding systems used in industrial, offshore, and construction environments.
5. Scaffolding Materials and Components
Identification, inspection criteria, and rejection standards for scaffolding supplies and materials.
6. Fall Prevention at Height
Regulatory requirements, guardrail systems, toe boards, and best practices for preventing falls from scaffolding.
7. Structural Integrity — Bracing and Load Transfer
Understanding structural stability, diagonal bracing, nodal points, base plates, and load distribution in scaffolding systems.
8. Scaffolding Inspection Techniques
Step-by-step methodology for conducting pre-use, weekly, and post-incident scaffolding inspections.
9. Scaffolding Checklist and Documentation
How to complete a scaffolding inspection checklist and record findings to meet regulatory and site requirements.
10. Issuing and Managing Scaffolding Tags (Scaffolding Cards)
Legal authority, responsibilities, and correct procedure for issuing Green (Pass), Yellow (Restricted Use), and Red (Do Not Use) scaffolding tags.
