
Course Aim
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence required to perform the role of a Fire Warden effectively in the event of a fire emergency.
Participants will learn how to identify fire risks, coordinate emergency response, manage evacuation procedures, and use firefighting equipment, ensuring the safety of personnel and minimizing damage during an incident.
COURSE CONTENT
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to demonstrate competence in both theory and practice, including:
- Fundamentals of the combustion process and fire behavior
- Fire risk identification and prevention measures
- Roles and responsibilities of a Fire Warden
- Emergency response procedures and evacuation management
- Safe and effective use of portable firefighting equipment
- Communication and coordination during emergency situations
- Self-rescue and assisting others in fire scenarios
COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
Participants will be assessed through:
- Practical evaluation of firefighting and evacuation response skills
- Written or verbal assessment to confirm theoretical understanding
Successful completion requires achieving the required level of competency in both assessments.
PREREQUISITES
Participants must be medically fit and capable of participating in practical emergency response activities.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The course is delivered through a combination of:
- Interactive classroom sessions, covering fire safety principles, emergency procedures, and Fire Warden responsibilities
- Hands-on practical exercises, including fire extinguisher use and evacuation drills
- Scenario-based training simulating real emergency conditions, enhancing decision-making and response capability
