Target Group

This training programme is designed to meet supplementary training and competence assessment requirements for personnel who are required to travel and transfer by boat to offshore installations using a personnel transfer basket.

Course Content

This training programme equips personnel travelling or transferring by boat to offshore workplaces with the knowledge and skills required to safely embark and disembark from a personnel transfer basket.

Course Objectives – TSbB Supplementary Training

Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

(a) Understand the risks, safety procedures, and safe working practices related to personnel transfer using a transfer basket.

(b) Practice and demonstrate the correct and safe method of personnel transfer by basket from a vessel.

Product Achievement Requirements

To achieve the Travel Safely by Boat Supplementary Training (Personnel Transfer Basket at Sea) certification, learners are required to complete one (1) mandatory unit of the programme.

Validity

This supplementary training programme may be undertaken concurrently or consecutively with the Travel Safely by Boat Initial or Further Training programmes, or at any time during the validity period of the current Travel Safely by Boat Initial/Further certificate.

We inspect, maintain, and repair portable and fixed fire extinguishers, including powder extinguishers, CO₂ extinguishers, clean agent extinguishers, and other specialized firefighting equipment. In addition, PVD Training provides maintenance and inspection services for fixed firefighting systems, including water-based firefighting systems, foam (AFFF) systems, gas firefighting systems such as FM200, and equivalent systems.
