ENHANCING CORROSION MANAGEMENT & CONTROL CAPABILITY IN OIL & GAS OPERATIONS
From 20 – 22 May 2026, PVD Training successfully conducted the specialized training course “Corrosion Management in Oil & Gas” for engineers, supervisors, technicians, and technical personnel working in the oil & gas, energy, and industrial sectors.
In the Oil & Gas industry, corrosion is recognized as one of the major technical challenges directly affecting Asset Integrity, Operational Reliability, and the lifespan of industrial facilities.
Without effective control, corrosion can lead to leakage, equipment failure, reduced system performance, increased maintenance costs, and potential operational safety risks.
The training program was developed to provide participants with in-depth technical knowledge and engineering perspectives in corrosion management, focusing on key topics including:

- Corrosion mechanisms and root causes in oil & gas environments
- Identification of common corrosion types affecting pipelines, storage tanks, and process equipment
- Analysis of factors influencing corrosion rate and severity
- Corrosion control, mitigation, and protection methods
- Applications of Cathodic Protection (CP), coating systems, and corrosion-resistant materials
- Monitoring, inspection, and corrosion condition assessment techniques in real operational environments

The course combined advanced theoretical knowledge, practical case study analysis, and operational experience sharing, enabling participants to enhance their capability in risk assessment, corrosion control strategy development, and maintenance optimization within high-technical industrial environments.
Through this training program, PVD Training continues to affirm its role as a trusted technical and safety training provider, supporting enterprises in strengthening professional competency, improving system reliability, and achieving safe, efficient, and sustainable operations in the energy industry.
