To enhance operational competency and strengthen offshore aviation safety, PVD Training has successfully delivered the “Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA)” training course for personnel working onboard HAKURYU-10 rig.
In offshore environments, helicopter operations play a critical role in personnel transportation, equipment logistics, and emergency response activities. Therefore, ensuring that Helideck Assistants (HDA) are properly trained is essential to maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant offshore helicopter operations.

The training program was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and operational coordination required for offshore helideck activities. The course focused on practical offshore knowledge and operational skills, including:
✔ Introduction to helicopters and offshore helicopter operations
✔ Offshore helideck standards and requirements
✔ Helideck operations procedures and HDA responsibilities

Through a combination of theoretical instruction, operational case studies, and practical offshore experience sharing, participants enhanced their safety awareness, teamwork coordination, and emergency response capabilities in offshore aviation operations.

The successful implementation of the “Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA)” course once again demonstrates PVD Training’s capability in delivering specialized offshore safety and technical training programs, while reaffirming our commitment to supporting offshore operators in improving workforce competency, operational safety, and compliance with the stringent requirements of the Oil & Gas and Energy industries.
